The Arboretum at Weston is a unique lifestyle center within an urban, commercial district located in the heart of the Research Triangle in Cary, North Carolina. The development features upscale retail space including several specialty restaurants and retail shops. The project takes advantage of tree lined boulevards, wide sidewalks, abundant landscaping, and site furnishings that stimulate pedestrian activity. The buildings are designed as two-story facades with varying roof types and heights to emulate apartments over shops that are reminiscent of traditional main street buildings. A variety of covered entries, canopies, and awnings are utilized to create shadow lines that serve to delineate the building massing and provide a human scale to the development.
